We are delighted to invite you to attend a 2.5-hour Adult Support and Protection (ASP), Self-Neglect, and Decision-Making Workshop as part of Dumfries and Galloway Public Protection Week. 

This workshop is designed to support reflective practice and strengthen decision-making across this complex area of work.

Who should attend this training

This workshop is designed to equip general workforce staff with the knowledge and confidence to recognise and respond appropriately to signs of self-neglect in individuals they may encounter in their roles.

For example:

  • Acute hospital staff
  • Third sector staff
  • Care home staff
  • housing providers and homeless staff
  • social work staff
  • care providers
  • OT's and other allied professionals
  • third sector colleagues
  • community nurses
  • GP's

It is also suitable for emergency service staff such as police, SAS and SFRS.
