Safe and Together - supervisors and managers training

Dates: 25, 26 and 27 March 2026

Training overview

Domestic abuse remains one of the most complex areas of practice for child welfare and wider family service agencies. Effective supervision is essential to ensure staff are confident, supported, and skilled in applying domestic abuse‑informed approaches.

This 3‑day training supports supervisors and managers to embed the Safe and Together model into everyday practice. It focuses on strengthening workers’ ability to:

  • understand and apply a perpetrator pattern‑based approach
  • support adult and child survivors in a trauma‑informed way
  • intervene effectively with perpetrators
  • maintain safety — for families and for staff
  • improve case discussions, assessments, and decision‑making

Who should attend?

This course is designed for supervisors and managers who have already completed the 4 day core training.
