Training overview
These workshops are designed to support staff in applying the Safe and Together Perpetrator Pattern Mapping Tool in practice. Participants will build on their existing knowledge of the Safe and Together model and develop confidence in using the tool to identify and document perpetrator patterns of behaviour.
Who should attend?
These workshops are open to staff who have completed the Safe and Together Core Training or who attend MARAC.

This one-day training provides an introduction to the Safe and Together Model. Participants will learn about creating a domestic abuse-informed child welfare system, the principles and components of the model, and the framework that supports competency-building in child welfare practice around domestic abuse.

This training is suitable for staff who want to develop an understanding of the Safe and Together Model and its application in practice.

Safe and Together 4-Day Core Training
Training overview
CORE is a four-day training programme designed to provide a skills-based foundation for domestic abuse-informed practice. The course supports participants to develop the knowledge and practical skills required to apply the Safe and Together Model in their day-to-day work.
Each day focuses on a key area of practice:
- Day 1: Assessment
- Day 2: Interviewing
- Day 3: Documentation
- Day 4: Case Planning
Who should attend?
This training is open to operational frontline staff who work with or support families affected by domestic abuse, including:
- Children and Families Social Workers
- Senior Family Support Workers
- Justice Social Workers
- Adult Support and Protection Social Workers
- Health Visitors
- Health Visiting Assistants
- Pupil Support Teachers
- Third Sector Workers
