Services and Responding to the Needs of Women Affected by Commercial Sexual Exploitation Training

Date: 10 September 2025 (in-person training).

This participative, in-person training explores how services can better respond to the needs of women affected by commercial sexual exploitation (CSE). It follows the Scottish Government’s approach to CSE as a form of gender-based violence and centres the voices and experiences of women.

Learning outcomes

Participants will gain:

  • insight into the realities of the sex industry for women
  • understanding of women’s needs, based on current research
  • awareness of barriers to accessing support
  • examples of good practice in service delivery
  • guidance on managing disclosures of involvement in the sex industry

The session includes films, testimonies, group discussions, and practical exercises. All attendees will receive training materials and links to further resources.
