9.1 When staff are working together around a child or young person, sometimes planning for the child can run into obstacles/ disagreements that those involved are not able to resolve. In these situations, it is critical that such issues are resolved as quickly as possible to avoid potential “drift” in the delivery of the Child’s Plan. This may require escalation of issues through the line management structures. A local Resolution and Escalation Protocol is in place to provide professionals with a process to follow.
