Dumfries and Galloway’s Assessment of Care: Practice Toolkit

Dumfries and Galloway Public Protection Partnership adopted the use of the Neglect Toolkit in 2016 (now known as the Assessment of Care: Practice Toolkit) and set a standard whereby the toolkit will be used to inform assessment and planning for all children on the child protection register where neglect is a factor.

Injuries to non-mobile children protocol

This protocol provides all practitioners with an evidenced-based strategy for the assessment, management and referral of non-mobile children who present with injuries (including bruising or marks).

Independent significant case review reports aim to give the salient points to allow for analysis and also to pose questions on how Council Officers, in similar situations, might act.
